Authorities in Surrey, British Columbia are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred overnight in the city’s Newton neighborhood, where two teenagers were found suffering from gunshot wounds in an underground parking lot.

According to Surrey Police Service, officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 7000 block of 133B Street at approximately 10 p.m. on Sunday night. When emergency crews arrived, they discovered two males — ages 16 and 18 — with serious gunshot injuries. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken over the case. Investigators say the shooting is believed to be targeted and may be connected to ongoing gang conflict activity in British Columbia.

No arrests have been announced, and investigators continue collecting evidence, reviewing surveillance footage, and speaking with witnesses as the case develops. Authorities are asking anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to contact investigators.

The investigation remains active as Surrey police and IHIT continue working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting.
